Performing in musicals from an early age, Jen discovered such masters like Cole Porter, Rogers and Hart, and the Gershwin Brothers while she was still in high school. After graduating with an honors degree in performance from Penn State, she moved to New Orleans to further her jazz studies (and drink Hurricanes) before coming to Chicago.

Since her arrival in Chicago, Jen has impressed audiences with her diverse repertoire and arresting voice. The Illinois Entertainer calls her a cross between "the great Anne Ross and Rickie Lee Jones."

For almost twenty years, she has appeared throughout Chicagoland as a solo performer and featured vocalist for several of the city's finest orchestras.  As the lead singer of The Chicago Rhythm Review and Samba Bamba, Jen performed at every major Chicago landmark, including Navy Pier, the Sears Tower, and The Taste of Chicago, Market Days on Halsted, Dancin' in the Park, Taste of Naperville, and many more. From 2005-2013, she was the featured entertainer every weekend at two of the city's most famous music rooms -  The Pump Room, where Frank Sinatra and Peggy Lee jump-started their careers, and in the Palm Court of the Drake Hotel. As of 2021, she appears there monthly in the Coq D'Or with her jazz cocktail-pop duo.

As lead singer for this high-energy, swingin' & loungin' 7-piece bank, Jen brings her ukulele along for a combo of Jazz, Swing, Latin and Pop that the Rat Pack AND Burt Bacharach would love. You can see them monthly at The Roxy Theater in Lockport and every other month at the Outtaspace in Berwyn with The Live & Lucky Revue, featuring Ruby Spencer. The Merry Janes
Since 2015, Jen has been spreading holiday cheer as co-founder of The Merry Janes, an all-female a cappella trio that sings Christmas favorites in the style of classic girl-groups like The Andrew Sisters, The McGuire Sisters, and The Supremes.  The holidays never sounded so good!  Now booking for the 2023 Holiday Season!
